Faux Event Posters

This was one of my earliest forays into the world of poster design. I have grown substantially since then, but I hold a fondness for these two works as they represent to me how much I have grown over the years.

One of the biggest challenges to this project was that I was working off of no information. At the time, I didn't even consider fabricating false data to use as a hypothetical placeholder, instead opting for the due date of the blog post. Heck, at the time I think I made both posters in Adobe Illustrator and didn't utilize InDesign whatsoever. Woof!

The first poster is the one I am most fond of. It is an inside joke from the design class, several of which would regularly wear overalls. We ended up joking about coordinating a day where everyone would wear overalls, but we'd all try to keep it as hush-hush of a secret as possible. Thus the birth of this poster.
