Bedrotting

This is the painting when closed. The panels align and the figure is one. A blanketed form stares out from under the covers. The cool dark colors reflect nighttime. From a technical perspective when I was making it, the left side is intended to be early morning, before dawn. The right is late evening, after dusk. Both share that coolness of night.

A Portrait of the Day Passing You By

This painting, titled "Bedrotting", was featured in the Digital Billboard Exhibition, and the Depart of Art Year-End Exhibition.

I designed this interactive painting over the duration of my fall 2025 semester for my Art Concepts class with Professor Brian Carpenter.

The painting itself is approximately 44 inches wide and 17 inches tall, minus frame. Its construct is unique. It's split into three panels and the third, on the right, is able to be pulled open to reveal the color blocked regions in the work.
